Partly Payments are powered by Stripe. This means that your store will be able to accept credit card and debit card payments from your customers.
How does it work?
When purchasing a product, customers will make their payment using their credit/debit card through a secure payment portal. Their payment will then be processed by Stripe and transferred into your Partly connected Stripe holding account. The payments are cleared straight away but Stripe has a 4-day holding period after which you will be able to withdraw the money into your designated bank account.
The amount that has been cleared will show up in the Payments tab of your Store Manager next to “Total Cleared”. After the holding period, the money will show up next to “Ready for withdrawal” after which stores can withdraw by clicking on the “Withdraw now” button.
How do I know when a buyer has paid?
You will receive a notification on Partly as soon as a buyer successfully makes a payment. The order will also appear on your “Current Orders” page in your Store Manager.
On top of receiving a notification, you will also receive an email when a buyer successfully pays. This email will contain the order information as well as the delivery address. If you do not wish to receive emails when a product has been purchased, you can turn this off in your Store Manager Settings.
How can I keep track of my payments?
You will be able to keep track of your payments on the “Payments” page in your Store Manager. Here you will be able to see a history of your received payments, fees, and the balance owing to you.
Can I accept bank transfers as a payment method?
Partly store accounts currently cannot receive payments through bank transfer. This is to keep all transactions within the Partly system. This ensures that all payments are tracked and secure for both the buyer and the seller.
What are the fees for Stripe payments?
The Stripe payment fee is 2.9% + $0.30.
That is 2.9%* of the total value of the purchase, including the shipping cost. On top of this, there is a 30 cent fee per transaction. This is charged by Stripe to cover the transaction and processing fees.
*This is excluding Partly success fees if applicable.
How are payment fees deducted?
The 2.9% + 30c fee is deducted from the purchase amount.
For example, if the total purchase amount (excluding shipping) for your product was $100, Partly would first deduct any applicable success fee.
To process the payment, Stripe would then deduct an additional 2.9% + 30c.
The total amount owing to you can then be withdrawn from your Partly account and deposited into your bank account at any time, once it had been cleared.
